
Patrick Lyons is an accomplished producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, known for working with Colter Wall, Josh Meloy, Noeline Hofmann, Sam Barber, Vincent Neil Emerson, Kade Hoffman, Sam Stoane, Josh Morningstar, and Justin Jeansonne.
From Chicago, Illinois, Lyons began playing guitar at the age of 10, and soon began to hone his skills in blues bars around Chicago’s south-side where he shared the stage with blues legend, Eddie C. Campbell. Lyons later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in jazz studies.
Lyons developed his writing, recording, and producing skills while fronting his own band and playing in every rock club in the Midwest before making his way down south. Lyons moved to Texas in 2015 and was a sideman in several country bands, playing at infamous honky-tonks and dance halls like Gruene Hall, Luckenbach and Billy-Bobs.
In 2018, Lyons moved to Nashville to further his music career. Since then, Lyons has toured around the world and played on hundreds of studio sessions. Dustin Lynch, Colter Wall, and Cody Jinks are just a few of the acclaimed bands for whom Lyons has played. In addition he has performed on the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Austin City Limits, the Texas Music Scene, and frequents the Grand Ole Opry.
Lyons's production credits include many notable works such as: Colter Wall's 2023 album Little Songs, Josh Meloy's 2024 album Where You Came From, Noeline Hofmann's 2024 EP Purple Gas, Sam Barber's single “Gambler," Vincent Neil Emerson's singles “Rodeo Clown” & “Big Wheels” and the 2024 EP Relics from Kade Hoffman. Lyons also produced The Plea, an EP from songwriter Josh Morningstar, who fans of Cody Jinks will recognize for the hit song “Must Be the Whiskey.”
Lyons uses different musical styles and his vast instrumentation skills to tailor each recording project. A passionate musician adept in all music from blues to bluegrass, country to jazz and pop to rock, Patrick is a key session player and a consistently in demand producer.
